People V. J.R. - 1st degree murder charges dismissed

Our client was charged with 1st degree murder. We provided the state's attorney with information, pictures, and text messages that showed that another person committed the murder, admitted it to his girlfriend, and sent her a picture of himself holding the murder weapon. We also fought to have the get away car to be swabbed for DNA and fingerprints and the bullet fragments tested to see if they match the weapon that was in the picture of the other suspect. When the other suspect was charged with several other similar crimes, Mark and Raul Villalobos met with top prosecutors to discuss all the evidence pointing to the other suspect. After this meeting, the state decided to dismiss the case against our client.
